Batan Technology Will Build Factories Nuclear Isotopes

JAKARTA -PT Batan Technology (Limited) plans to build a factory that produces nuclear isotopes in the United States (U.S.). Procurement isotopes, will be used for health purposes.

State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan said the funding of the nuclear isotope plant to be built by PT Batan Technology Eximbank financed. Dahlan said Batantek raised Rp1, 7 trillion.

"Yeah well, it (funding) from Eximbank. Betul funding from there," said Dahlan Iskan, when met at the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises, Jakarta, Wednesday (26/09/2012).

Dahlan said, although Batantek obtain financing from Eximbank. But the U.S. also has a larger investment. According to him, the ownership of plant nuclear isotopes are later held by the majority of the U.S.. "They are the majority because of their greater investment, we invest Rp1, 7 trillion," said Dahlan.

Until now, Dahlan is still waiting to hear from the President Director of PT Batantek on the report to the U.S. shareholder. In addition, he also coordinated with the Indonesian shareholders. "Well, if later agreed to a new shareholder is realized," he said.

Dahlan explained, the product isotope nuclear reactor plants in the United States will be shaped like a liquid. the fluid will be able to detect a person's illness. By way of radio isotopes injected fluid as said Dahlan, a person will be able to detect the disease.

"Later, it was like a liquid, will be able to memdeteksi sick what a way to inject the liquid, the liquid is called a radio isotope, which can detect the disease," he explained

According to him, the liquid will replace the use of citiscan, but rather because only in injection praktirs. "It's very safe, dangerous baseball, it's very safe," said Dahlan.

Earlier, Dahlan said that the Batan Technology has the chance to become a manufacturer of radio isotopes or nuclear medicine in the world. "This technology Batan great chances, there are other countries that can make baseball except for Indonesia," he said.

He explained that the reason Batan build factories there, as if produced in Indonesia remains to be brought to the United States. In this way, the fear of radiation isotopes will be exhausted.
